Security is the responsibility of all owners and residents. Here are a few
reminders and common sense rules:
-
When parking, always roll up your windows and
lock your vehicle. Never leave valuables in your vehicle.
-
Make sure the garage doors
completely close before you drive away when you enter or exit the garage.
This will help prevent someone from entering the garage without
an access card.
-
Do not open the entrance doors
for strangers and do not allow someone to follow you into the building. It
is not rude to ask a stranger to use their own access card, key or the
building access system. If the stranger is a fellow resident, s/he will
appreciate your attention to our mutual safety.
-
Do not grant access or buzz
anyone into the building who has not identified themselves.
-
Meet delivery persons at the
front door instead of allowing them to walk unescorted throughout the
building.
-
Close all doors securely
behind you, including the front doors, stairwell doors, courtyard gates,
and loading dock doors. Doors should not be propped open for any reason.
-
Immediately report any lost
access cards or entry keys to the building manager.
-
Please report any suspicious
persons or unusual activities to the police using the non-emergency police
number: (703) 558-2222.
-
In emergency or
life-threatening situations, call 911.
-
Please report all security and
safety incidents to
the property manager including theft, property damage, etc. You can file a
police report online on Arlington County’s
website.
